Holly Hotel Investigation Spring 2009

Posted by MPRA on October 9, 2009 at 3:30 PM

So!

After patiently waiting for the outcome with two production companies; I am not deciding its safe to post the evidence from our Holly Hotel investigation in Holly, Mi. Their creative producer (great guy) flew out to film an amazing reel with us (have yet to see it but I hope they'll realize its a big deal and an important event to remember for us). We only had a day and a half to film compared to other groups that got entire weekends +. I'll try and see if I can post the EVPs on here too (REMEMBER: Listen to the evps with headphones on, otherwise your computer won't pick it up). The creative director wasn't a huge believer before but later had his camera kicked on the floor in front of him resulting in his reaction, "what the *uck?". A plate/decorative dish hanging in the parlor amongst numerous items on display disappeared randomly during our investigation. It would require a ladder to reach its location to remove it; none of the employees took it nor saw anyone remove it. The owner/manager was great to work with and was shocked at the plate disappearing as well. There was even a dirt shadow/ring in its place!

Something dark dwells in the basement/cellar area, I'll confirm that! Nausea, headaches, sweating...wasn't good! As soon as you walk into the hotel, you feel a denseness that is felt by everyone! It is considered one of the most haunted locations in our nation! Most of the spirits are docile and kind however the basement and upstairs bathrooms are not a favorite of mine, ha. The Holly Hotel experienced two traumatic fires that both happened decades apart but on the same day...same hour and within the same minutes of the original. I believe the original fire may have had casualities but there are definitely spirits there! We have a EVP of a girl with asthma or adnoids it sounds like; maybe died of smoke inhalation?? "He took my hand" ...."Something something ...in the fire" if what we heard? Let us know what you think! We've got the original owner's dog barking in the background after I mentioned its spirit being known to haunt the hotel. Also the tape recorder was left alone in a small eerie room and there are recordings of it being tampered with and moved...creepy! Overall, it was a great experience and an honor!

"Samantha,

ya where WAS my trailer and make up crew! I wanted sparkling water and fruit prior to filming? :) You have a beautiful and confident personality! I am sure the spirits are drawn to that. We all enjoyed your professional and affable ghost crew! You are welcome back ANYTIME. Good luck with your production! I am anxious to hear and see which ghosts came to talk with you last night. Always, Chrissy"

Light anomoly/orb...has an actual flight path (dust does not) and physically went behind the investigator with same relative size (dust only appears large up close to the lense).

Employee took this in the women's bathroom...obviously a hooded figure wasn't a part of the old portrait...reminds me of this kind of a demon...

Hey TrueDat!
Are you referring to the famous ghost picture I posted above that is in the church? Many people have debated that photo but the shadow is more of a cloak or gown not a shadow

Hi! That's the Newby Church in North Yorkshire, England. I think there has been numerous investigations there but I haven't seen any case studies or other evidence from there. Something interesting to research sometime! Creepy looking entity for sure!

When diagnosing a demonic presence by what it "feels like" you need to remember that bad wiring can produce the same sensations as a demon, just as can being too close to a active MRI unit. People react to the static field. A demon will be revealed by an anomalous static field that can go active without any known external influence.

Hey Bill!
Thanks for a comment! There's a lot more to determining demonic cases when we deal with private residential families compared to a brief sweep of the Holly Hotel, etc. But I definitely agree with you about the sensations wiring can cause and so on. A lot of people also have similar hallucinations with carbon monoxide poisoning, etc. We always make sure that there isn't a logical explanation for the feelings but I usually give the client the benefit of the doubt and just cleanse/exorcise their homes as its better to be safe than sorry :)

It is true that care should be used in dealing with reported demonic activity, but care must also be used in responding to it. Many times what is called demonic is actually just angry spirits, and they can often be dealt with easily. True demonic activity can cause a strong (better than 2 Gauss) static field after the household power is turned off. Further, it can suddenly spike without known external cause, and send a former Army Ranger and his chair to the ground, not once but twice. That is not something that is easily dealt with. Further, to deal with such an entity is to issue a challenge to it, and an accepted challenge means a battle until one side is clearly victorious, which can take years. It is often best to leave an established demon alone. Passing through demons can be encouraged to move on, but established ones are major problems.

I just seen this post, my question is what kind of formal training does mpra have when they go after a demon? is what this Bill says true? it could take a big fight to make real bad one leave? and if you clean a home, is it just to make the owner feel beter, or does it reaaly work? the man who got scratched at the hotel, do you feel it was a demon or just a bad spirit? it looked scary to me.

Hey Krista!

Haha you've got a lot of questions! :) Feel free to e-mail me at mpra@live.com and ask away. I've been studying demonology for many years and have been battling them since I was about 17 (experiences with them when I was even younger). It is definitely a lifestyle that chooses you rather than one day someone wakes up and says, "I want to be an exorcist/demonologist!" It takes a specific person: someone willing to dedicate their life, safety, etc. I have God work through me but in no way do I follow one specific religion: most people believe only Christian and Catholic priests can cast out demons however many shamans and medicine men/women across the globe have been casting them out since the existence of mankind. I think many years of study, if not a lifetime of studying these creatures, is important. Many paranormal groups encounter a demonic presence but then have no idea how to rid it, end up harming themselves or the clients and leave or try to unsuccessfully cleanse it. Haha our cleansings work :) hence our cheesy motto" genuine & sincere, we document & resolve", meaning we get rid of all negative spirits. Its true some of them put up a good fight but it really depends on the person who is doing the battle and the spiritual healing that needs to take place within the family, etc. I am a very strong-willed person and have all my faith in God; it is definitely a risk by working in this type of field but I love helping people :) Demonic cases are what we focus on mostly these days; these families are in great need and are usually terrified.
I think the Holly Hotel definitely has a negative spirit but we haven't been invited to discern if it is demonic or not. Apparently everything with Zach has calmed down now so he is happy. But I warned if anything happens again we need to cast it out. I'm not sure of BIll's background and I forget what he all posted but you'll encounter many people who have never even encountered such entities yet feel they should lend some advice lol :) I appreciate everyone's view but am confident in our groups ability to help families; we've dealt with numerous demonic cases now and I'm very proud of my core members who battle these creatures. We use several tactics with Native American ceremonies, Christian/catholic rituals, etc. but I always cater to our client's religious belief. Hope this helps? Take care!
