Tuning one's "6th sense" is a lifetime experience and something that everyone can always improve on. I'm very excited that you're moving or hoping to move to your tribes location; I've always wanted to visit and spend some time with a tribe and learn from their spiritual teachings but have been afraid they'll reject my request and rightfully so. I know you will learn great things from them; I feel very deeply connected and close with the Native American spirituality. I believe/have been told I have a Native American spirit guide. Do you have any dreams or dream premonitions? Working with your dreams is a great place to start seeing as you're working directly with the unconcious which then can lead towards working with your gifts in the wakeing world. Their philosphy has a great basis from which they work from and that's getting your own personal energy 'grounded'. Learning to control oneself, etc. Its such a great thing to learn and is extremely helpful and when you learn to do this you can control your world respectfully and responsibly. Everyone has different gifts and different levels as to how developed and skilled they are. These 'psychics' may have infact been seeing things you weren't at the time because you may need to open those channels more when the knowledge/time comes or even the desire to. I know how you feel with it being a curse/burden but you can make it your gift and your personal ally. These gifts are given as guidance and help for us to use; we just need to learn how to use it.
Every person has a magnetic/energy aura or energy field. We all emit light and energy. Spirits can see this and especially if the person is a sensitive/psychic they are attracted to the heightened energy or personal glow that individual has. They may be seeking help from you or simply want to be near you and your presence. If you're open to helping them I have several ways to help them pass over and move on with their spirits. Many stay behind because: they have unfinished business or feel they have certain duties to fulfill, they don't know they are dead, or they're afraid what may happen to them when they cross over (fear of past "sins" etc).
Lucid dreaming (controlling your dreams) is great to research about along with: learning what is a spiritual message and what is something that's coming from your "higher self" (i.e. when you're lost and feel you need to turn left while driving and some how you end up where you needed to be etc). But first you need to have someone assess your skills and current development level and work from there. I'm personally practicing lessons and such with Rev. Merlin Wagner; you could check to see if he's interested or even available to help you with your quest. Its very important to know, learn and control oneself and I'm very glad you're seeking this!
