I have a question regarding residual noises during an interactive investigation.  i am hoping that someone else has had this happen to them, and maybe they can give me some insight or a theory as to why and how it happens.   I can think of numerous times this has happened in the past. 

 For example while I listened to a recording taken at Gettysburg, the oneinvestigator had made a comment that the area they were in was where they use to shoot down at the other army,  and what was said was "the rest could see the mound.  10 feet needed to fire it" and just at that moment you could hear a volley of gunshots going off, all at once.  How is it they were able to speak and yet accompany what they were saying with some external noise? Another example I canthink of, I was doing a recording that was taken at an old plantation in which the slave mother speaking was searcing for her daughter, Molly.  Apparently there was an uprising of some sort between the former slaves and their Masters, you could hear: " Molly, Molly??!!  Where are you?",  also it was heard the pounding of horses hoves as the masters were searching and trying to round up the former slaves that had gone crazy.  Then you couldhere a child scream "Mama mama!!", and then you could hear men yelling in the background, gun shots going off all over the place, the Mother screaming "Molly Molly!!"  Again , here we have external sounds that may be residual in nature, but only plays while the spirit that is intereacting with you via the EVP session goes on. 

If anyone has any theories about this, I'd love to hear about them.  It is kinda puzzling when it happens.  It is almost like a movie being played out in front of you!!
