Being raised in Northern Michigan, I have heard many stories, as well as, had a couple of experiences. It would be very interesting if you could get permission to investigate a couple of sites: 1. Fort Mackinaw in Mackinaw City. The site of a historic Indian uprising, in which, many British were masacred! 2. The Grand Hotel, on Mackinaw Island. Locals all say there was a fire at the Grand, a few years after it was completed, and then restored. I have never been able to find any written history to that effect. I have witnessed a full-body apparition there (A lady in white victorian dress). A freind who worked there one summer stated he saw her near the central staircase, on the second floor. I agree Ft. Mackinaw would be nice. Also greenfield village would be great I used to be a guard there on midnights. | |
